Mind, Body & Spirit
Are you intrigued or perhaps haunted by your dreams and wondering whether they hold any significance or purpose for you? Are you searching for a deeper meaning to your life, asking questions about who you really are, why you feel 'off course' much of the time and looking at why the paths you have taken through life seem to lead to an unsatisfying 'dead end'?
Exploring our dreams can be really helpful in encouraging us to seek answers to these questions, but where and how do we begin? In 'Wake up to your Dreams' you will discover how to find your way through your dreamworld to an understanding that the answers often dwell in the unimaginable richness of our unconscious, inner world that comes to life while we are asleep. The book offers vivid, authentic accounts of how dream exploration can help us to understand, often without our knowing, the powerful impact and influence that inner world has on our waking life. It is accessible, engaging and inspirational in its presentation and is written from both a personal and professional perspective giving examples of several different types of dream that you may recognise and relate to.
Here's what readers have to say about this book....
Firstly I just love the cover of this book, lots of little shadowy corners to be curious about just like the title urging us to " wake up to our dreams" we really need this wisdom now. As a society we have lost so much connection to ourselves and others. I found reading this book helped to slow me down and take a breath to reconnect. The book engaged my interest from the very start. The writer's ability to simplify a very intriguing and interesting subject was all the more engaging as it came with so much clarity, from such a genuine and vulnerable heart. So many of us live out of awareness stuck in our heads. I loved the phrase "Take your head off". By being open to working with dreams the unconscious can become conscious, 'dreams' really mean something and not always what we think! (Hence take your head off). It has really inspired me to keep a dream journal. The book brings wonderful and real people's dreams for us to observe and this offers how to look at our own dreams. There is also guidance and a wealth of references and beautiful Quotes. I loved how it was written with such a wealth of personal experience and authenticity. Gilly draws us in and makes it so accessible to any reader that has an interest in their dreams. It can't fail to make for curiosity and hopefully help all of us to gain self awareness and wisdom from within.
