Young adult
Here's what readers have to say about this book....
The Gifted 3 is a thoughtful young adult novel that introduces readers to a period of American history that is often overlooked or omitted in standard school curricula. The book’s strength lies in its intent: to spark curiosity and awareness by placing young readers inside historical moments that invite reflection and questioning. Rather than presenting history as distant or abstract, the story frames it through an accessible narrative designed to engage and inform. For young adult readers, this approach works particularly well. The novel encourages exploration of the past while remaining readable and purposeful, making it a useful bridge between historical learning and fiction. A worthwhile addition to the series and a strong option for readers, families, and educators seeking young adult fiction that broadens historical perspective while remaining approachable and engaging. The Gifted 3 is a book for children between the ages of 12 and 17.
This book introduces them to a time in American history where events happened that are often skimmed over or nonexistent in schools today.
Wouldn’t it be great if children could travel through time and see history as it actually happened. I would like this book to pique the interest of children in regard to historical events, genetic manipulation, science, and the possibility of time travel. Has social injustice always been an issue in America and the world? What could the gifted 3 do to make a difference? Are we alone in this vast universe? Julia, Maggie and Sophia are all exceptionally gifted. However, they have totally different personalities. Being different is an asset to improving the future, not a failure. Life on earth will never improve until we recognize being different can be a gift.
