Here's what readers have to say about this book....
I thought that this was a really fun way for young children to identify who are their "favourite" people in their lives. I liked the way that the book was set out and that the book had a wide range of people from different ethnic backgrounds and a wide range of diversity was shown and how the book shows that children can like people for a wide variety of reason too, none of which are wrong. I liked the second at the end which encouraged questions and probing around the topic to make it a more than a traditional story book.

I love to read with my nieces and nephews and this would be a great book to read with them. In my Favourite people, the child talks about his Favourite People and why he likes them. It's not just his parents, but his aunt and uncle, librarian, postman, teacher, and more. There are discussion questions at the end to talk about each page. It takes a village to raise a child and this book helps children think about who is in their "village".
This a good book for young readers to identify their Favourite people in their lives. Full of diverse characters from all walks of life it will encourage kids to see the value that people bring to their own lives. Especially like the discussion prompts at the end of the book to encourage readers to relate to the story.
