My boys loved this book and all the wonderful characters. They wanted to keep reading chapter after chapter to find out what happened next. It was a very enjoyable story.

A perfect book to develop resilience. The children were motivated to write after listening to the first few chapters and wanted to know what was going to happen next. The characters are vividly brought to life. The illustrations are perfect. I hope there will be a sequel.

I purchased this book for my granddaughter, she didn't put it down all day, she adored it, loved the story and illustrations, she's going to read it to her little brother.

This is an exciting and intriguing adventure story, sensitively written, as Joe and his new friend encounter various challenges. In doing so, they help each other and actually realise how they may have unintentionally hurt their other friends. As they begin to understand this, they resolve to put things right when they return to their different situations. Anyone with any responsibility for children will appreciate the wonder of bringing them to a realisation of how others feel and to care about the consequences. This author does this effectively and unobtrusively, as events unfold. A great, fascinating read with a positive message.
