I haven't read much sci-fi but I enjoyed this one, and am looking forward to the sequel. The main characters are likeable with a pleasing element of humour aiding reader bond with them and their adventures. Spencer Edwards has an excellent knowledge of the technology and science fiction background needed to make the events seem believable. A great read for adults, not just the youngsters!
This was a really well done children’s sci-fi novel, it had a great story and worked with the concept. The characters felt like they belonged in this world and I enjoyed figuring out what was happening to them. It does a great job in creating a good space opera feeling story and I enjoyed reading this.
