A lovely imaginative story .Algernons' escapades take you into a wonderful world of " make believe " which will appeal to a variety of age groups.
An engaging story, fast paced and with a group of human characters that children will identify with. Algernon is a wonderful depiction of a pet mouse with very fixed ideas of what he wants to do and where he wants to go. He has the personality to ensure that his followers do his bidding, with often hilarious results. His adventure with his Scottish relatives at Balmoral is a fitting end to the book and we are looking forward to the next episode of his travels with the Boyle family.
