I started my working career as a teacher, and then I moved into the business world. I have worked in local government. More recently, I have retired and now spend my time writing for children and undertaking voluntary work. I have been inspired to write my books, as I feel passionate about children learning to read at a young age. I have been a Governor at a local primary school and regularly help children with their reading.
Schools:
I have had some great World Book Day visits in March, meeting so many fantastic children and supportive teachers. I'm now taking summer term bookings, if you would like me to visit your school please drop me a line at anne.parsons8@btinternet.com.
Festivals:
I had two successful talks at the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival and the Clevedon LitFest, Celebration of the Book, in Autumn 2024. In 2025 I was on a panel at the Burnham Book Festival in September, and at Dulverton Exmoor Literary Festival, in November, I did some storytelling for one of the Children's Story Corner sessions. Recently I attended the Bovey Book Fest.
