I started my working career as a teacher, and then I moved into the business world. I have worked in local government. More recently, I have retired and now spend my time writing for children and undertaking voluntary work. I have been inspired to write my books, as I feel passionate about children learning to read at a young age. I have been a Governor at a local primary school and regularly help children with their reading.
I have just concluded my World Book Day tours which were amazing, meeting so many fantastic children and supportive teachers. I am now taking bookings for the summer term, so if you are interested please email me on anne.parsons8@btinternet.com.
I had two successful talks at the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival and the Clevedon LitFest, Celebration of the Book, in the Autumn in 2024. Going forward, I shall be taking part at the Burnham Book Festival, Somerset on 6th September and the Dulverton Exmoor Literary Festival on 16th November.
