I started my working career as a teacher, and then I moved into the business world. I have worked in local government. More recently, I have retired and now spend my time writing for children and undertaking voluntary work. I have been inspired to write my books, as I feel passionate about children learning to read at a young age. I have been a Governor at a local primary school and regularly help children with their reading.
Schools:
I had some great World Book Day visits, meeting so many fantastic children and supportive teachers. Bookings for the summer term are going well, but there is still some availability, so if you are interested please email me on anne.parsons8@btinternet.com.
Festivals:
I had two successful talks at the Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival and the Clevedon LitFest, Celebration of the Book, in the Autumn in 2024. Going forward, I shall be taking part at the Burnham Book Festival, Somerset on 6th September and the Dulverton Exmoor Literary Festival on 16th November.
I would be pleased to give a talk about being a children's author at suitable events you may be running. Just contact me on my email address or on social media, X File @AnneRParsons or Instagram@thearchieseries.
