I'll start by saying that I loved this book. What did I love about it? I hear you ask. As soon as I started reading, I knew that these characters had a story. I sensed that their story could not be explained in five minutes; I needed to follow these characters and stay with them, and maybe I would lose a little of myself along the way. Harper was an amazing character, even if in some ways she wasn't what I expected. I expected confidence and sass, but she had a vulnerability that I loved. And Reid, well, what can I say? He was a character who made me want to shout at the pages, in a very positive way. He was irresistible, and I just wanted more and more of him. This book was sensual, steamy, delicious and decadent. What surprised me was that it also made me cry. That was when I realised how invested I had become. Aside from Harper and Reid, there were a bunch of other loveable characters. When I was finally done swooning, I knew that I would take these characters and their story to my heart. A book like this is the best if you need a bit of me-time. So treat it like a hot date, take your sweet time and savour it. This is the best romance I've read for a while, so if you are a romance reader, you won't regret it.
