Valley of Shadows

Even a community on a small island can face threats and conflict – not just the threats of an ever-changing climate and inevitable disagreements – but also, the menace created when a less-than-benign government seeks to impose an unwelcome, and probably unworkable, project on the local people.

Marie and Malcolm and their neighbours on the lonely island of En-Somi have stood their ground in the past when dealing with the privileged and greedy elite. Now a new problem has arisen. And there are three strangers on the island. Are they agents of those who would hurt the islanders, or innocent visitors? While trying to unravel the plot, Marie and Malcolm find themselves led into even graver danger than any of their previous adventures had created.
