Contemporary
Kerry is forty-one and has lived with Julie, her only child, up until now, but soon she will have to come to terms with the fact that she will lose Julie once the circumstances surrounding her new baby are revealed. She will also have to face her judgemental mother, Eileen, and maybe even prison if her concealment of drugs is found.
Eileen’s life has been hijacked by the surprise arrival of a second grandchild, and it’s typical that Kerry has sunk to a new low and had a baby from a fling, although the new baby is perhaps Kerry's chance to redeem herself as a mother.
Julie has started seeing her manager from work, Carl, though she has not yet ended her relationship with Logan, a class A drug dealer. For his part, Carl is in love for the first time with Julie, but Logan thinks himself untouchable. The news that Julie was seen with another man gnaws at him and he vows to reap revenge if it proves to be true that she's cheating.
Kerry, Julie and Eileen will soon have to come to terms with all that has happened in their lives. Three women forced together by the circumstances, and the strongest of bonds.
