Hello! My name's Jon Lackland. I am very interested in new approaches to helping people who have a problem with alcohol. I realised there was a lack of effective approaches to problem drinking for people like me. There seems to be three options - join a group such as AA which works for many, but many others do not want to declare their problem to people they don't know and would prefer to fix the problem themselves. The second is to book into an expensive commercial clinic. The third are the various websites that give well-meaning but quite obvious advice â telling what must be done (which the problem drinker knows full well) but not how to achieve it. I am not dismissing any of these sources because they have helped a great many people, but I believe there is another way and I found a programme that worked for me, allowing me to fix the problem with my internal resources.
I tried many times to give up the drinking that was devastating my career and family relationships, leading me to write Beat alcohol on your own. In my early forties, having found group therapy couldn't help we and almost at the point of no return, I applied himself to fixing my problem by myself once and for all and devised a completely new strategy to progressively reduce my intake in a safe, controlled manner.

'Beat alcohol on your own' is a new approach to combating drinking made even more necessary, right now, from its increase due to greater home working. The method ensures
the reader's drinking will reduce towards zero in a personalised, safe, controlled way. Central is the strategy of Planned Relapses, which give a sturdy staff on which to lean as overall drinking is managed downwards through the following of three simple Oaken Rules. The realpolitik of the difficulties in stopping drinking is faced square on as every scenario where temptation may arise along the path is mitigated by the deployment of an arsenal of tactical interventions.
Ultimately the goal MUNDUS IN CLARITATE! is attained.
