Jane Gall Spooner

Jane Gall Spooner trained in classical ballet with Maria Zybina in Beckenham, Kent. Deciding against becoming a professional dancer, she earned degrees in Geology and Environmental Resources from the Universities of Manchester and Salford, and enjoyed a long career as a consultant in the minerals industry. Jane's research into Zybina's life and the lives of Zybina's teachers, principally Nicolai Legat in London, but also Evgenia Eduardova in Berlin and Elena Poliakova in Belgrade, has been an exploration of their heritage which was rooted in the traditions of pre-revolutionary Russia. Jane makes her home in Toronto, Canada.
