Iain McCormick PhD is the founder of the Executive Coaching Centre
in Auckland, New Zealand. He initially trained in clinical psychology,
working in the forensic sector, and subsequently completed his PhD
studying work stress during a long overland traverse of Antarctica. Iain
then moved into organisational consulting and coaching, becoming
a partner in Deloitte for some years, working in Canada and New
Zealand. He subsequently moved to Hong Kong where he helped build
a consulting firm that was sold to a US multinational. Iain returned to
New Zealand in 2000 and started the Executive Coaching Centre. He
currently coaches a wide range of boards of directors, chief executives
and senior managers. He has conducted many thousands of individual
and team coaching sessions over thirty years. Iain has published three
books including Coping with Change, Reflective Practice for Coaches:
A Guidebook for Advanced Professional Development and Schema
Coaching: Overcoming Deep-Seated Challenges. He has also published
over one hundred articles and book chapters in psychology and
coaching. Iain lives in Auckland, New Zealand with his wife and two
sons.
