Deborah Reinact has qualifications in librarianship, art history and proofreading. Her career has been predominantly in academic, science and public libraries, but she has also worked in marketing, publishing, retail and the civil service. She has written various types of non-fiction in all of her jobs, and a number of articles in specialist journals. Last Chance Saloon is her first novel, written during lockdown when she was sitting alone at home, feeling slightly bored and wondering what life would have been like if she had made different choices. She is currently working on a children’s book.
She has lived in Asia, Australia and the UK. An enthusiastic volunteer, she currently has unpaid positions at a museum and with an environmental charity. She loves going to concerts and the theatre, enjoys handicrafts and the arts, and is deeply into genealogy.
