Andrew Devon was born in Mile End, London in 1961, residing in the city for forty-two years before moving to the south coast. He spent twenty years in Hove before relocating to Worthing at the end of 2024.
He attended Stationers’ Company School in London where he achieved three A levels. After a few different careers, he eventually found his way into charity fundraising, a profession that lasted thirty years. He was employed by various charities for ten years before setting up his own consultancy Salvia Fundraising in 2003. The consultancy helped national and local charities particularly in the hospice, welfare and disability sectors. He retired in 2024.
Andrew has extensively given his time to charities as a volunteer. He previously sat on the Amnesty UK’s Membership Committee, he was a trustee of both Milton House and Possability People. He is currently a befriender for Together Co and a volunteer at Ralli Hall for an older people’s writing group.
Catherine is his first novel.
