Alabaster is a Wild Elf, who means well but finds himself in lots of tricky situations! This book is an amazing Christmas adventure, to get you in the festive mood. With beautiful descriptive writing, which makes you feel like you're there right in the adventures. There's plot twists and cliff hangers at every turn. As a parent and a teacher, I cannot recommend this book enough. My daughter read it, couldn't put it down and absolutely loved it! The perfect Christmas adventure to get you in the mood!
A must read! For all ages!!! I read this with my son who is 8 yrs old. What an absolutely joyful story! The author is so wonderfully descriptive - We couldn’t put it down as we followed Alabaster’s adventures! We will definitely be getting it out again at Xmas time!
Festive fun! This is such a fun and engaging read! Full of Christmas magic with inventive characters and page-turning mischief. It manages to bring something new to the festive stories that we are all familiar with. The ending was satisfying whilst also opening the door for an exciting sequel. Can't wait!
A fantastic book, superbly written. 10/10 I don’t often leave book reviews but felt compelled to with this. It’s simply genius. The characters are fresh, exciting and have real depth. The writing is exquisite and has an edge to it that you don’t often see in children’s books anymore - I say children but it’s suitable for every age. The author clearly knows how to keep you entertained and engrossed. I read this to a 9, 7 and 5 year old who all loved it, we’re fully on board with the characterisations and eagerly awaited their daily chapters but were disappointed there weren’t more stories in the series to carry on - I really hope there’s many more books to come from this very talented and artistic writer. An impressive career in writing surely awaits and this family can’t wait for more. Story 10/10 Characters 10/10 Uniqueness 10/10 Print quality 10/10 Enjoyment 10/10
Captivating, fun Christmassy magic! Great read 🤩 This book is fabulous! From the first page, we were captivated and fully invested in the character Alabaster. The book takes you on an epic fun filled journey that is perfect to read to your younger children and perfect for independent young readers. It really lifts the Christmas spirit and we can not wait to read it over and over (and follow Alabaster on his future adventures)! Thank you Gavin Brock for bringing Alabaster into our lives 🏂❄️🧝🤩🎅🏼
