Travel
We started out from John O’Groats. We got up, had breakfast, squeezed into Lycra, and set out on our bikes. We cycled along some roads, up some hills, round some bends, through some towns, along some towpaths, and through some pleasant countryside. We locked up our bikes, had some dinner, drank a couple of pints, and went to bed.
The following day we did pretty much the same, and the day after that, and the day after that. We pedalled and pedalled, and our wheels went round and round. Sometimes it was sunny, sometimes it rained. Eventually, we arrived at Land’s End.
That’s pretty much it, really.
However, this is not just a tale of cycling. It’s about friendship, giving it a go and having fun along the way. It also delves into history, legends, culture, and bodily functions. A travelogue that goes on for miles and smiles, stopping for soup and beer along the way but mainly beer. Of course, there’s cycling too with its own ups and downs, the ups often being the biggest downs.
