Dark magic is spreading through Ukraine. But it’s not just people who are in danger, it’s the ancient spirit world, especially the beautiful, water-dwelling rusalkas. Dariya, a brooding girl, and Ukraine’s least likely hero, sets out with her peers to investigate. From whispering fields to haunted mansions to terrifying forests, ghosts, witches, wild spirits, and giant spectral mammoths come to life. Dariya must harness the Slavic magic within – or lose everything to the encroaching darkness.
