Bob Trebor is a career copper, having spent most of his life in CID. He’s been identified as a competent thief-catcher in his early years, serving time on Crime Squads before taking the two promotion exams. He demonstrates leadership and management of those working for him.
In a time of no mobile phones, basic pagers, and DNA in its infancy, it’s essential his detectives are on top of their game. Recruitment to his squads is strictly upon recommendation by squad members engendering an esprit de corps. Trebor’s peers are envious of their successes and do their best to spoil the story.
We join Bob, sometime later, on trial for perverting the course of justice, sponsored by an old enemy of his. How will this end?
