Autobiography
Fiona Bennett is a successful musician as well as a Welsh-speaking, Roman Catholic (lapsed) vegetarian who eats too much chocolate and adopts a lot of greyhounds. Born in Cardiff, her family moved to Anglesey when she was four and it was there she began taking piano lessons and the gargantuan task of learning the Welsh language. She had never wanted children of her own (we’ll meet them in the second book More Tales of a Medium Sized Hippo) but now agrees they are the best thing ever to have happened to her.
Married to her second husband, music college pal, John Heritage, Fiona currently has three girlie greyhounds and plays the cornet in John’s brass band. Her mum and dad live around the corner so she’s kept busy looking after them too. Pianist, singer, songwriter, composer, bandleader, Celebrant and writer – Fiona is always seeking new challenges and hopes you enjoy reading the first part of her amazing life story as much as she has enjoyed writing it.
