Tony Slimmings
Tony Slimmings is an entrepreneur, author and founder of We Complement Limited. He has spent more than 30 years working in financial planning and regulated professional services, advising clients, building and selling businesses, and exploring how professional judgement can be better supported, evidenced and improved.
His experience has led him to question what makes some professions more trusted than others, and how that trust can be maintained as artificial intelligence changes the way professional knowledge is accessed and applied.
Through his writing and business interests, Tony explores the relationship between technology, professional judgement and institutional trust. His central argument is that, as knowledge becomes increasingly accessible, the value of trustworthy professional judgement becomes more important, not less.
His first book, The Trusted Professions: Why Some Professions Will Thrive in the Age of AI, and Others Won’t, examines how professions can develop the systems, standards and accountability needed to earn and sustain public trust.
Tony lives in the United Kingdom with his wife, Joanne.
