Sue. C. Bentley

Sue began working for public libraries soon after leaving school, which gave ample opportunity for her to indulge her love of all things darkly gothic.

 A self-taught writer, she built a 30 year career writing fiction for adults, and children aged 5-9 years. Her short stories have been published in magazines, anthologies and her own collections.

Sue has a number of pen names. First published as Cleo Cordell she wrote 7 books for Virgin publishing's Black Lace list. As Susan Swann she wrote 4 books and a collection of short stories for XLibris, an imprint of LittleBrown.

She has contributed to a number of bestselling children series, writing as Lucy Daniels, ( Animal Ark) Daisy Meadows ( Rainbow Magic). And Kate Bloom ( Fairies of Starshine Meadow.) for Hatchette and Stripes.

Her own best-selling series of Magic Kitten, Magic Puppy, Magic Ponies and Magic Bunny children's books, writing as Sue Bentley for Puffin Books, (PenguinRandomHouse) have sold millions in translation around the world, and been featured on The Sunday Times bestsllers list.

In recent times, and set to remain, in her own world of writing for adults, Sue published two darkly gothic titles with JoffeBooks. 

 'We Other; Deep dark fairies you wouldn't want to meet by moonlight,' is inspired by British folklore and, Sue's love of traditional fairy tales.

While 'Second Skin'; Some monsters hide on the inside,' is also darkly gothic, and features shapechangers and most unusual dragons.
