I've always been interested in history, often searching for 'the story behind the story'. Adversity brings out the best (and worst) in people - we have witnessed that on countless occasions, both in the theatre of war and close to home. I love to write about ordinary people thrown into an extraordinary situation.
When I'm not writing you may find me sailing my 36-year-old Drascombe Dabber (restored with no prior knowledge, but great care and huge effort) off the beautiful west Wales coast.
