Born in England to Cornish and Irish parents, we moved to Northern Ireland when the Troubles were in full swing, and I have remained there ever since. In the past, I have held several occupations, such as being a historical researcher, a genealogist and serving in the military. More recently, I became a graduate of the Open University with a First-Class Honours in Classical Studies and Creative Writing, and currently I am undertaking a Master's degree in Creative Writing with Teesside University. I am a lover of writing, books (much to my wife's dismay) and all things history. When I am not drafting and editing, reading or researching, the chances are you will find me in the gym or hiking.
