Lisa M. Marino

Lisa Marino spent nearly twenty years in the United States before returning to her home in Perth, Western Australia (WA). Her career in public diplomacy spanned almost two decades, culminating in her role as the Cultural Affairs Director with the U.S. Government in Perth. Her diverse background includes collaborating with the community to develop education and employment programs for Aboriginal youth, serving as a media officer for a WA Senator, and writing freelance features. These experiences honed a lifelong commitment to active listening and to championing diverse voices—qualities that now beat at the heart of her fiction. When she's not writing, Lisa can be found volunteering on community projects or enjoying the WA coastline with her husband, adult children, grandchildren, and their beloved dogs.
