A metallurgist and former Fellow of the Institute of Corrosion. Now retired. Main interests: Family, Literature, Orienteering, Genealogy, Running. Lives in Wiltshire with his wife. They have three children. Can often be found amongst fellow stragglers at the rear of the field in the Saturday morning Swindon Parkrun.
