Garry Mansell is an entrepreneur, angel investor, non-executive director, and public speaker with over 40 years of experience across procurement, supply chain, and technology-led transformation.
He spent 22 years at Mars, gaining first-hand experience of commercial buying at scale, before co-founding Freight Traders and later becoming CEO of Trade Extensions, a procurement technology business he built and sold to Coupa. That combination of practitioner, founder, and technology leader has shaped both his writing and his advisory work ever since.
Garry is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and served two terms as a CIPS Global Board Trustee. He currently holds a range of director, non-executive, and advisory roles with businesses across the UK and internationally, including a directorship at Layrd Design and an advisory role with Buy Women Built.
He is the author of four business books: B2B Sales for the Entrepreneur, Simplify to Succeed, 50 Golden Rules: A Beginner's Guide to Entrepreneurship, and, most recently, The Intelligent Buyer: How AI Is Rewriting Procurement, Supply Chains and Commercial Judgement, with a foreword by Henrik Larsen. Garry is based in Norfolk, England.
