Mary Ann O'Leary was born in Worcestershire and still lives in the north of the county. She was educated at St. Mary's Independent School, Worcester and worked for many years in city centre offices. Her chief enjoyments now apart from writing include listening to 1960s music, reading poetry and whodunits, cycling and travelling. Mary Ann has mixed 20th century British Isles ancestry, having Irish, Welsh and English forbears; from An Uaimh (Navan), Co. Meath; Maerdy and Cardiff, Glamorgan; and Monks Kirby and Pailton, Warwickshire. More or less everybody's relative. Welcome to my Web Page.
My little book of rhymes is newly-written for the season loaded with traditions. I have written the poems for ease of reading and narration, focusing on strong rhythmic patterns. Children, in particular, will see how words can be fun as well as a means of communication.
I am sure you will find the verses memorable, with cheering things to say about the dismal days at the end of the year.
I very much hope you will enjoy reading my festive offering. Please do feel free to upload your own review on this page at any time.
Oh, and by the way, let me be the first to say ... A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!
