Cyril Sinclair

Cyril Sinclair is my nom de plume. My real name is Luke Gilroy. I was born in Oxford, studied in Wales, and now live in Lincolnshire.

A graduate of Aberystwyth University, whenever I'm not applying for jobs on Indeed and LinkedIn, I write stories, mostly thrillers.

I wrote my first full-length novel, Marilyn, largely because I was bored, and I needed to take my mind off some of the events that happened during the third year of my undergrad degree. I drew upon my eleven years of mountaineering experience and events I'd read about in the news for inspiration, letting my imagination fill in the gaps.
