Born and bred in the Black Country, Andrew has always believed that life is about people, purpose and possibility. A proud family man, he spent 35 years with Lloyds Bank, leading teams and supporting clients across Retail, Commercial, Corporate and Private Banking. When he stepped away in 2019, it wasn’t to slow down but to step into a new chapter, one focused on sharing what he’s learned and using his experience to help others grow.
One of the most formative moments of his career came when he was seconded to Business in the Community, one of the Prince of Wales’s charities, as a Business Connector for Dudley. That experience changed everything. It deepened his passion for giving back, showed him the power of bringing people together and set him on a path dedicated to improving lives, strengthening communities and creating opportunities for others.
Today, Andrew continues to mentor young people and business leaders, drawing on decades of leadership experience to support growth and development. He has served as a founding board member and Vice Chair of the Stour Vale Multi Academy Trust, mentored its CEO, and still volunteers his time, including as an Author Ambassador for Troubador. He is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
In 2021, Andrew fulfilled a lifelong ambition with the release of his first book Didn’t Anyone Ever Tell You? It’s All A Game! Seen as a warm, honest and practical guide to navigating life’s twists and turns, told through personal stories, insights and hard-earned lessons. The book has inspired readers of all ages and raised funds for causes close to his heart. 50% of all income made from this is donated to charities. His second book will be published in summer 2025.
Life has also thrown Andrew challenges he could never have predicted. A bowel cancer diagnosis reshaped his perspective and deepened his commitment to helping others face adversity with strength and hope. He now shares his story openly to raise awareness, encourage early diagnosis and support others through their toughest moments.
At his core, Andrew believes in the power of connection, contribution and community. Whether through mentoring, writing, speaking, consultancy or volunteering, he is passionate about helping people and organisations unlock their potential and create a positive, lasting impact on the world around them.
