Alyson France grew up on the small island of the Isle of Man, moving to the UK mainland and graduating from Liverpool University and the College of Law (as it then was) in Chester, qualifying as a solicitor and practising for several years in the North West of England.
Moving to live in Mallorca in the early 2000's, she observed many similarites between the two islands, despite very different climates.
Her experiences inspired her to pick up a novel begun more than two decades before and begin writing again.
Other than writing, Alyson is a former competitive cyclist who still cycles regularly for pleasure and commuting, and enjoys hill-walking, painting and playing the guitar.
