5 star rating from me and easy to see why so many others have clearly felt the same. I found this to be a thoroughly absorbing read. The plot moves at a good pace with lots of twists and turns along the way and is very cleverly written I thought. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and already looking forward to finding out what else might be in store for Sgt Lacey!

The author has a wonderful way of reeling you in and you find yourself drawn right into the life of Harriet Lacey. There were so many unexpected twists and turns that kept me turning the pages. A great read and really enjoyable. Looking forward to the next instalment
